Harry Potter and all things magical...

Good afternoon my fellow wizards and muggles alike. I was once given a fast path into the bewitching world of Harry Potter and Hogwarts. Up until now I have not shared these photos (being a blogger newbie). Firstly let me warn, there will be spoilers for all you die hard fans, if this is the case look away now...

Ta Dah!!!! Welcome to Warner Bro's studio tour in "The Making of Harry Potter"!!

Hhhmmm I wonder who lived here?? If you said Mr Potter at Privet Drive then tap yourself on the back my friend.

So once queued and waiting patiently to enter the tour. You are taken into a large almost cinema like room where a massive screen comes to life. On it Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, tell you of all the marvels your about to witness. Then with one quick flick the screen rises and before you are the doors leading you to Hogwarts Great hall.

And before your very eyes here is the Great hall at Hogwarts. Now this is the ACTUAL set, its what is known in the business as a "hot set". So when the scenes in the film are viewed it was all filmed here (amazing trivia I know). Add a few green screens cgi and it all comes to life. The following pics are a few I took within the hall.

The tour really stops around here, what I mean is you are free to go off and explore by yourself. There is so much to see, so many details to capture so I was so glad I was able to kind of drift off in my own little dream world. There are boards explaining everything so you will never miss out on any information either, and then like me you can become a pro using all the Hollywood terms ha ha...

This by far was one of my favourite props on show, beautifully lit up and on display against a shimmering curtain. AMAZING!! Also on display were the costumes worn by the characters when they atteneded the Yule Ball.  

Well we all know where this is dont we?? As there are so many pictures to get through I've decided to do this in three parts. So stick around for the next post. This will include some famous props, places, magic and a whole lot more....
