Southend on sea...

The time was last summer September... After 3 gruelling years at university and a really bad break up, I felt it was time to get away for the day. And what better place then Southend on Sea?? Now your probably wondering that there are so many places in the world or England for that matter, the truth is Southend has so many memories for me. When I was younger my parents took me and my sisters there all the time. We would go on rides, eat fish and chips walk around, then finish the night with a bag of freshly made doughnuts. A part of me wanted to relive that as I was always so happy. So Southend on Sea was the location, and my main lady Chantal was my company. The adventure was about to begin...

As eager beavers we had booked our train for the earliest possible time to make the most out of the mini get away day. So once we had turned up to the beach the tide was still yet to come in. Made for a few amazing photographs though.

So once the intial arty farty photography was done. It was time to explore. We started our way to adventure island for some fun fair fun. Got our butts kicked at go karts, spun around like mad on the waltz, even had friendly competition with a fellow bumper car driver. It was now time for a spot of good old fashioned fish and chips...
Here is the lovely Chantal writing out her IOU, you see this is when you know you have true friends. After finishing uni and being broke, and for that matter me being heartbroken, we had a smallest budget to spend on our day. I offered to put more in as I was the one in need of the break more, but this woman is a stubborn bird. So here she is adding away...

After a pit stop to a local tesco store for some beers, it was back to the beach for a relaxing stroll and lie down. This was my favourite part of the day, as I lay there with closed eyes, I could hear the birds, children playing and families having fun. It bought all my memories back, and filled my head with that happy place I remember and my heart with joy (which was much needed)...

The evening was approaching us, and the time to leave drawing closer. As we headed off we found this amazing tower which gives you the full view of Adventure Island. Roll on the pics...

We headed for the train, settled in and spoke the whole way home. After our mini get away day I was left feeling onestep closer to happiness. I haved been blessed with truly amazing people in my life and that above all is a reason to smile. Thank you Southend for excellent weather and a life time of memories. Till we meet again adios...

With Love,
Yeliz xoxo
