We arrived at 9.30 so things were still extremely quiet. The beach was empty and we had our pick of pitchings. Without a single cloud in the sky the sun beat down on us, which is a rare occasion as we all know what the British summer can be like...
Now those of you who may read my posts (thanks for the love) may recognise my Spanish senorita to the left. Meeting her and gaining her friendship has led to many more beautiful friendships made. Like these two lovely ladies. They have been better friends to me in the short space we've known eachother than people I have known for years!! But anyway, here are the beauts all sitting in the sun in my new favourite thing A DECKCHAIR!!
"In ode to the Deckchair, with your comfortable seat providing"
There's a story I would like to share. Being a larger and curvy lady I am usaully a supporter of the body covering winter months. And as you can see not only am I wearing black (rookie mistake) but leggings which I can only describe as statred to melt in!! So I came up with a plan... find a primark and purchase some shorts. I dragged Chan along with me, we walked for ages till we found out we had walked well out of where the shopping centre was. We stopped refuelled with some water and continued on. And there like a mirage was a packed out Primark. Luckily I found some decent lengthed shorts. As we returned we realised just how long we had been gone 2 hours to be exact. But my legs and general body was thankful after feeling so much cooler. Guess I better learn to love my curves...
Here is a fresher more relaxed me.. So relaxed I fell asleep on my chair without any sun protection on and burnt my shoulders, thighs and legs red raw. Although I am now nicely tanned, but remember kids protect your skin. Oh yes and there is my cheesy grin making its appearance.
We sat chilled, joked, spoke, laughed and slept (well I did) till we decided to venture on and take in the sights. We headed for the pier, enjoyed some of the classic fun fair rides. Stocked up on rock, and feeling rather peckish we headed for dinner. We found this amazing pub, for the life of me I can't remember what it was called, all I can remember was the deal. 2 people eat for £6.50!! And the portions were decent to say the least, I left feeling stuffed.
"Here comes the girls"
So after all the excitement of a birthday weekend celebration I can honestly I was starting to feel shattered and could hear my bed calling my name. The memories I had captured and the good time we had was so worth it. I would like to visit Brighton again, maybe partake in the nightlife as I've heard its insane!! Well till then I will just get ready for the upcoming week at work reminiscing about the seaside. Awaiting on another adventure...
With Love,
Yeliz xoxo
