Roof Top Cinema Fun...

Hey Guys sorry for the lack of posting these recent weeks, my life is either too boring at the moment or hectic and filled with work for my job (don't grow up its a trap). Anyway thought I would share with you a few pics and that from my first ever experience at an open top cinema.
The Location: Peckham Rye, Bussey Building.
The Film: Reservoir Dogs.

Here is an overview of the rooftop just to show you the extent of it's awesomeness. This photograph was taken from the website, although the rest to follow are my own images. I can't even begin to explain to you how surreal the whole experience was. Sat in the middle of Peckham on a rooftop, watching a huge screen and having nothing but silence around me. It was INCREDIBLE to say the least.

Being Chantal's bday we decided to head to the roofop on the actual day. There are a few located in different areas. Shoreditch, Ealing Broadway, Kensington and Peckham Rye are all the locations. The website www.rooftopfilmclub.com explains all. There were locations closer (being a North london girl) but the lady did protest "it's my birthday, we have to go to this showing."

Now fellow cool kids, there's another joint in town you have to check out when hitting the party scene at Peckham. and that's Frank's Bar. Another rooftop affair so can only be done in the summer months. Not particularly open till too late, but best enjoyed as the sun sets as the views are phenomenal!! Please excuse the poor quality pic, all I was equipped with was the old trusty Iphone 5.
Looking at the screen I wondered how loud the movie would be able to play. Little did I know you were given headphones and a blanket to wrap up and sit back and enjoy. Here is a picture of our view. The screen can be seen from everywhere as it is quite high, although I would reccomend grabbing a seat quite quickly. The best seats were of course the front and isle seats but being a rooftop cinema rookie I did not know this. Although as stated before the film can been seen from everywhere.
Here is the bday girl herself, the gorgeous Chantal advertising the ever so flattering head attire we were to wear for the evenings festivities. The headphones were extremely comfortable and at one point I completely forgot I was even wearing them. So to follow are a few posed for pictures of me and the birthday girl. Ahhh shameless selfies... LOVE IT!!

I have come to the realisation I have two photograph faces. Cheese (as shown below)
 (proper cheesy grin)

And the other sleaze...
("hello pretty ladies")

But it's my face and I've come to terms with it (JUST).
Getting snug and comfortable waiting for the film to start. There were a lot of cool people about, everyone was in chilled mode, I guess after having a stressful week at work (I know I did). There was plenty of time to drink, eat and socilaise. The film starts at 9 oclock which is perfect timing, the sun has started to set plus the air is still warm. I would advise howver even in hot hot summer to bring along a coat or jacket of some sort. You are quite high up and the air can get a bit nippy, although the blankets handed out were a God send!!
Awesome looking Beer can
Now for all you love sick puppies out there this had to be the most romantic sunset I've seen. The colours were beautiful, this pic really doesn't do it any justice. This was when I noticed just how surreal things were feeling. I'm sat on a roof on a deckchair watching a badass film like Reservoir Dogs, drinking from the best looking beer can I've seen with my favourite lady. This is when I remember life isn't always bad.

So the film had ended I looked around and night time was now and truly upon us. What to do with the night now hey?? On a usual occasion a few cocktails at a trendy bar would be the way to go, however Chan had booked me for the weekend, and it was an early start in Brighton for us. Off home for our midnight snack it was. Adventures were awaiting us in Brighton....

With Love,
Yeliz xoxo
